At OUTlandish Videos & Gifts, you would think celebrating PRIDE would become old hat. Realistically speaking, we celebrate it every day of the year with our store, staff, and customers. But there's something about participating in our community's local LGTB festivities that always seems a bit more extra special and meaningful...

...even when it's raining, as it did most of the day and evening of Saturday July 14th, which was Rochester's annual Gay PRIDE Parade (Streets Of PRIDE!), followed by the Cultural Festival organized by the Community Business Forum. Like last year, the festival was held at the Village Gate, so OUTlandish was represented in full force, inside at our main store and outside at our tent!

Though the rain certainly dampened some spirits, you would never be able to tell with the crowd that filled the parking lot and stayed and celebrated throughout the night!

Our visit to the annual Gay Picnic held by the Gay Alliance of the Genesee Valley at the Genesee Valley Park on July 15th was far drier than the previous twenty four hours...and turned out to be the perfect day!

The biggest joy in participating in these various events is taking the time to celebrate the diversity that makes our community so special and all of the unique people that enrich our lives.

And speaking of enriching lives, you will never meet a more special or unique group of people than our very own staff here at OUTlandish Videos & Gifts!

Gary (right) is the brains behind our festival/picnic operations. Robby's only requirement is to stand there and be fabulous! They both are really good at what they do!

Robby, the youngest of our crew, could not keep up with his elders, so Gary put him down for his afternoon nap! The elders were relieved as Robby was slowing them down and cramping their style!

Gary & Robby...still standing (and being fabulous!) at the end of a very long (and initially very wet!) but fantastic weekend!

The sailing away of the PRIDE balloons signaled the official end of this year's celebration!
